Located in South Africa’s Manyeleti Nature Reserve, within the game-rich realm of the Greater Kruger region, Tintswalo Manor welcomes travellers of all ages into a private paradise. Leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, and even African painted dogs might be seen as our Micato Safari Director guides us past ancient sycamore fig trees and golden plains, painting a vista of natural wonder as we arrive to our lodgings.
When we settle into our private villa, every comfort awaits: five roomy suites share gracefully furnished common areas, from the unfussy yet stylish thatched bar to the sprawling veranda and swimming pool. A “Little Ranger” program is specially crafted for junior travellers, chock-full of child-friendly bush walks, activities, and art projects, with dedicated caretakers always on hand.
Tintswalo Manor celebrates its surroundings—golden plains and a watering hole where elephants, zebras, and other game pass by—with warm poise. Each of the five suites varies in size to cater to guests’ preferences. One, for example, is located upstairs for extra privacy, and includes a double en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower, while two other suites share an interconnected door to welcome children-and-parent guests. In open areas, such as the lounge, African art melds seamlessly with richly woven, currant-red carpets and deep leather couches, while in the suites, classic safari drapery shrouds the beds.
A boma dining area, sizeable swimming pool, fenced garden, grand veranda, and stand-alone thatched bar area invite us outside. We can also arrange for a delightful night within the safety of your private hideaway, in the Treehouse Sleepout Deck. Think of this as a sleepaway adventure of childhood delight, as flickering hurricane lanterns and thick duvet comforters combine with the evening buzz of cicadas and brilliant stars above.
Naturally, a private chef guides guests through every meal, snack, and cocktail hour, providing tasty bites and catering to every dietary need and preference. Indulgent spa therapies are always available at the Vital Source Spa—a singular treat to enjoy amidst such beautiful natural surroundings.

Nearby communities also welcome Micato guests into their homes, as locals share craftwork and storytelling that ties us more deeply into these wild, captivating lands.
As twilight nears, an afternoon game drive might end with surprise sundowners in a secret clearing, or the team will arrange a starlit dinner, alit by the fire’s glow. We can choose to spend a night in the Treehouse Sleepout Deck, a delightfully rustic experience on the savannah—if ‘rustic’ includes a glamorous elevated loft, feather-down comforters, and an expert guard who patrols at night to ensure utter peace of mind.
