Valerie Iwasaki, director of sales, is a seasoned hospitality professional with more than 20 years of luxury travel experience. She worked previously at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, where she led the Leisure Sales Team as Senior Leisure Account Director. Previously, she was Account Director at The St. Regis Princeville Resort and held senior sales positions with The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua in Hawaii and Marina del Rey. She has also worked extensively with Virtuoso, Signature, American Express, and other travel consortia. Valerie holds a B.A. in business management and marketing from the University of Southern California. She has a passion for environmental stewardship and sustainability and in her spare time, she is an avid cook and yoga practitioner. Pamela Foster

Southeast

Pamela Foster, director of sales, oversees sales for the U.S. Southeast and manages special projects. Prior to joining Micato in 2014 she directed sales for African Travel, where she managed the company’s sales and marketing as well as sales team training. Pamela has also served as regional sales manager for American West Steamboat Company and Western U.S. manager for the South African Tourism Board. Born in New Zealand, she lived in London prior to settling in the U.S. and calling Florida home. Passionate about horses, poetry, swimming, and music, and, especially, Africa, Pamela has been on safari more than 50 times and believes nothing creates more powerful memories than time spent in the African wilderness. Fascinating fact: Pamela was once chased by a hippo and hid in the reeds, only to find 23 more hippos surrounding her.
