Two Micato Experts Win Spots on Travel+Leisure A-List

We’re proud to announce that according to the editors of Travel+Leisure, Micato Safaris has two of the world’s top travel advisors on its team: India specialist Marion Miller, who made the A-List for a second consecutive year, and luxury Africa safari expert Liz Wheeler, who joins this year.

Marion and Liz join 121 other “top agents and tour operators in the business” for Travel+Leisure’s 18th annual list. And T+L explains in part why the A-List is something of a big deal, in the process reminding us why working with a travel advisor can be an excellent idea.

She can coordinate a walk through the spice market with a Delhi culinary expert followed by a private cooking lesson.”

Why Liz Wheeler Made the A-List

Liz headed up Micato’s East Africa office for two decades and, Travel+Leisure also notes in their September issue, is “armed with a knowledge of Swahili and a passion for the continent…she avoids ‘luxury for luxury’s sake’ in favor of immersive cultural experiences, such as a visiting a paleoanthropology camp in Kenya or joining fisherman at work on Lake Victoria.”
