Cancellations

Cancellations received by Micato 90 days or more prior to departure are subject to a $150 per person cancellation penalty; cancellations received 89-60 days prior to departure are subject to a penalty of 20% of the total retail tour rate; 59-30 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour rate. Cancellations received 29 days or less prior to departure are subject to forfeiture of 100% of the entire retail tour rate. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

Insurance

We strongly recommend insurance to cover you in case of illness or injury and coverage for baggage loss or damage, as well coverage for trip cancellation/interruption.

Coverage For Pre-Existing Conditions

Travel insurance policies provided by most tour operators do not usually provide for trip cancellation or interruptions that occur as a result of a medical problem that existed when you purchased your coverage. Micato's Travel Protection Plan waves such pre-existing medical conditions clauses if: a) your premium is paid with your deposit, and b) you are not disabled from travel when you make your premium payment.

Taxes and Gratuities

The tour program includes hotel taxes and entrance fees to National Parks and Game Reserves. Airport taxes are not included.

Basic gratuities are included, but it is customary at the end of the tour to tip the local Kenyan tour staff.
