African Splendour

Before You Depart

Our office in New York is staffed with Africa enthusiasts, all of whom are keen to help guests plan a safari that is spectacular in every way. Because when you're planning a trip, it's helpful to talk with someone who has been there.

Someone who can craft your itinerary around your love of wildlife, or adventure, or culture…or all of the above. Someone who not only knows the lodge, but the lodge owner. Someone who can recommend the South African wine, or delightful shop to visit in Nairobi, or can just remind you to wear an extra layer when travelling into Ngorongoro Crater. Someone who will listen, and help you plan the perfect safari for you.

And once you’ve planned your safari, your safari specialist provides information and materials to help you prepare (and get excited!) for your trip. Before departure, you will receive detailed trip documentation and delightful travel amenities.

A comprehensive tour itinerary will further set the stage, along with a map of the destination, a dictionary of commonly used Swahili phrases, outlines of the region’s political and natural histories, practical information on travel requirements (visas, for example) plus useful tips and clothing suggestions.

And from the moment you book to the moment you depart for your safari, your safari specialist will be available to answer questions and provide guidance. We warmly invite travellers to call or email us with questions, concerns, ideas or special requests when wanting to plan a safari, and look forward to being of service.

Call us at 1-800-MICATO-1, and take that exciting initial step towards your first safari.
