The 9-day journey, departing Thursday, February 10, 2011* includes:

Feb. 10 Depart the U.S.

Feb. 11-12         The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi

The historic Imperial Hotel is an intriguing blend of Victorian charm and Indian tradition. The Royal Imperial Suite, at a spacious 3,000 square feet, offers a well-appointed master bathroom with marble bath, shower, and steam and sauna room. Couples will banish jet lag with an in-room aromatherapy couples massage and then drift to sleep in a four-poster bed with its luxurious French linens.

Upon awaking, guests will explore Old Delhi, including an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through the famed bustling alleyways of Chandni Chowk bazaar, returning to their hotel for lunch at Spice Route, heralded as one of the top ten restaurants in the world by Condé Nast Traveler. In New Delhi, they'll see such sites as Humayun's Tomb, thought to be an architectural inspiration of the Taj Mahal.  A special tour of the hotel's priceless collection of paintings, engravings, and lithographs is not to be missed.

Feb. 13-14        Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

A scenic drive south takes guests to the capital of the great Mughal Empire, Agra, home to the Taj Mahal, a true monument to eternal romance.  Sunset and sunrise visits to the Taj, built in memory of emperor Shah Jehan's beloved wife, ensure ample time to enjoy this iconic structure.  What better place to spend Valentine's Day?

Less than a mile from the Taj Mahal stands the Oberoi Amarvilas.  The classical Indian architecture of the property echoes the Taj and is complemented by elaborate Mughal style gardens, terraced lawns, fountains, reflecting pools and pavilions.  The magnificent Kohinoor Suite at Oberoi Amarvilas boasts a large living room, dining room, study and a spacious bedroom with an attached white marble bathroom, each of which has breathtaking views.  On Valentine's Day evening, couples will enjoy a candlelit champagne dinner on the balcony of their suite, spectacular nighttime views of the Taj Mahal, a performance by local dancers and sitar players, and a sensuous in-suite couples massage before bedtime.

Feb. 15-16        Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

Next is Jaipur, the legendary "Pink City," where travellers will arrive at Rambagh Palace Hotel in a royal carriage, escorted by camels and elephants and with musicians heralding their arrival.  Here they will explore the imposing Amber Fort and City Palace, see the delicate stone screens of the Palace of the Winds, and wander through the 18th century Observatory.

The spacious Maharani Suite at Rambagh Palace was once the private chamber Maharani Gayatri Devi, who was named one of the world's ten most beautiful women by Vogue magazine in her youth.  Decorated by the Maharaja's favorite designer, Hammond's of London, the suite features intricate mirror-work and rich furnishings, and the French windows open to a peaceful view of the gardens.

Couples will meet with the Palace's on-site "gem doctor", who can prescribe the best gems to wear to create harmony in love.  Then, in the footsteps of legendary couples like Prince Charles and Princess Diana, they can proceed to Jaipur's most exclusive jeweler in search of a magnificent treasure to signify their devotion to one another.

A sunrise hot air balloon ride over the desert and a candle-lit dinner under the stars on the palace terrace are just a few of the extras that will create a life-long love affair with the city of Jaipur.

Feb. 17-18 Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur

The fabled romantic city of Udaipur is the final magical stop on the itinerary.  Guests will cruise the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola, including a stop to explore Jag Mandir Palace, situated in the center of the lake.  They will also visit the ancient, mystical temples at Eklingji and Ngada and explore a nearby village on camel back.  Champagne awaits at a private sunset dinner at Monsoon Palace, perched high above the city.

Oberoi Udaivilas, located amidst 30 acres of landscaped beauty on Lake Pichola, is home for the next two nights.  Built in the style of a traditional Rajasthani palace, here you will find decorative fountains, pavilions and intricately carved arches with inlaid mosaics.

The Kohinoor Suite, with its courtyard fountains, sitting room with fireplaces, and wooden sauna, is 2,650 square feet of palatial comfort.  It offers beautiful views of the City Palace and the Aravali Hills overlooking Lake Pichola.  When couples return to their suite at the close of another exciting day, they will find that their private butler has drawn a bath, fragrant with essential oils and alit with floating candles.

Feb. 19             Fly to Delhi; Depart

After one last leisurely breakfast, couples will fly to Delhi, where a room will be available at The     Imperial Hotel until they are escorted to the airport to board their international departure flight.
